Las Vegas Glass Making Workshops 1

Today was the first of five days of glass classes and what a great experience it was. I learned to make blown boro birds with Andrew Pollack. I have never used boro glass before, you need a much bigger torch to melt it as it is the equivalent to Pyrex glass and is very hard and takes longer to melt - in my beadmaking I use soft glass. Learning how to do this now gives me the opportunity to try different designs when I return home. More to come!
